Open Book students from Beethoven Elementary School are pictured with Award-Winning Children’s Book Author Jacqueline Woodson prior to getting their copies of Miracle’s Boys signed. They were among 150 Open Book participants who got a chance to meet Woodson during an Open Book Student/Author Event on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Williams Multiplex, 2710 S. Dearborn in Chicago. The Open Book Participants also performed excerpts and asked interview questions based on Woodson’s books Miracle’s Boys and Locomotion. Open Book is a program of the Institute for Positive Living. |
