What's What
A Message from
Our Founder Marrice Coverson
Marrice Coverson

Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Institute for Positive Living’s 2014 Annual Fundraiser a great success.

2013 was an exciting year for us at IPL as we broadened our services and worked diligently to impact youth violence in our city.

As we remain committed to literacy, health, technology and youth violence prevention, we are also placing a strong focus on helping young men and women who have had encounters with the juvenile justice system. It is imperative that we help these young people take control of their lives so that they will not end up incarcerated.

I am humbled by the generosity of all of those who participated in our annual fundraiser. Through your commitment to the Institute for Positive Living, you are making a difference in the lives all of those we serve. We thank and congratulate our 2014 honorees. And special thanks are in order for our Major Sponsors, the University of Chicago Office of Civic Engagement and Nicor Gas, as well all of our supporters and contributors.

In the words of the author, Edgar Allan Poe, “Your life and mine shall be valued, not by what we take… but by what we give.”

We are grateful and appreciative that you have chosen to support our mission and our vision. On behalf of all those we serve, Thank You!
